The Sacred Lotus Dahabiya draws inspiration from a late 18th and early 19th-century original Dahabiya design, built in a colonial style. At its heart lies a half-shaded sundeck, the ideal spot for lounging in a wooden deck chair while watching the landscape glide by. Below deck, a welcoming living area awaits, complete with a salon, four cabins, and one suite. The cozy salon features a small library filled with books about the Nile and Egypt, comfortable sofas, making it the perfect spot to conclude your day. Here, you can swap stories, share experiences, read, or play backgammon, all while enjoying a Turkish coffee or a glass of Alexandrian wine.

Facilities The Sacred Lotus Dahabiya, a Nile cruise sailing boat, offers accommodation in 8 double cabins and two suites, each with a private terrace. These beautifully appointed spaces hark back to a bygone era, featuring air conditioning (with both cold and heat options) throughout, and en-suite bathrooms for each cabin and suite.8 Luxury Cabins – Great Views, Inside and Out Spacious at 3.5 X 3.5 square meters, each of the eight cabins is individually decorated with local antiques and features two large antique beds dressed in fine Egyptian cotton. Two large windows in each cabin provide views of ancient sites, riverside villages, and breathtaking scenery. Air-conditioned for comfort, each cabin also boasts a well-equipped bathroom with a bath, shower, and toilet. The professional staff ensures towels and linens are replaced daily and prepares tasty foods (special food requests are welcome).2 Terrace Suite – A Sleeping Beauty & A Private Balcony The boat includes a spacious suite with a private terrace, offering incredible views of the Nile from the back of the boat. It's an ideal place to relax after sightseeing. The suite, adorned with large antique double beds, regional fabrics, and furniture, also has a private bathroom with a bath, shower, and toilet.Deck Plan - The Sacred Lotus Dahabiya: A Small Boat, Big Adventure The boat measures 36.5 meters in length and 6.5 meters in width, accommodating 20 passengers and 10 crew members. It features 8 twin cabins, each with a private bathroom, 1 double suite with a private bathroom and terrace, plus a salon & dining room. The sundeck extends over 41 meters in length and 8.1 meters in width, totaling 332.1 square meters. All cabins and the suite have outside-facing panoramic windows, private en-suite bathrooms, and air conditioning with individual controls. Guests enjoy complimentary WiFi access throughout the boat, which also includes a generator for electricity, water filters, a wastewater recycling and sewage treatment system, and essential safety equipment.

Itinerary

Day 1: Friday

Upon arrival at Aswan airport/Train station, a tour manager from Luxor And Aswan Tours will meet and assist you. Accompanied by an Egyptologist guide, enjoy a tour in Aswan, visiting the Philae Temple and The High Dam, and walking through Aswan Bazaar. Later, embark on your Dahabiya Nile Boat, enjoying lunch onboard before setting sail to Kom Ombo, where you will overnight.

Day 2: Saturday

After a leisurely breakfast, visit the Greco-Roman Temple at Kom Ombo, dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris and the Crocodile God Sobek. Continue the journey to Gebel el Silsila, with dinner possibly served at the temple or on the upper deck.

Day 3: Sunday

Post-breakfast, visit Edfu Temple by horse carriage, then sail to an island for dinner on the Nile edge or on the Sun Deck, preparing for an Egyptian evening of fun.

Day 4: Monday

Disembark in Esna after breakfast, then escorted to Luxor for sightseeing, including the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and Karnak Temple, followed by transfer to Luxor airport or Train station.

Disembark after breakfast, followed by a transfer to Aswan airport/train station for final departure.
