On the first day, Wednesday, guests will embark in Aswan, where they'll be welcomed with lunch aboard the Dahabiya. The day's adventures include a visit to the Philae Temple, an architectural marvel dedicated to the goddess Isis, and the High Dam, a testament to modern engineering. There's also time allocated to explore the vibrant Aswan market, offering a chance to engage with local vendors and artisans. The night is spent moored in Aswan, under the stars.
The following day, Thursday, begins with breakfast on board. For those who opt for it, there's a chance to visit the Abu Simbel Temple early in the morning, a site renowned for its colossal statues of Ramses II. Lunch is served as the Dahabiya sails to Kom Ombo, where guests visit the unique double temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. The journey then continues to al Ramady Island, where dinner is served on board, followed by an overnight stay beside the tranquil island.
Friday is dedicated to sailing towards Esna in the early morning, starting with breakfast on the Dahabiya. Guests enjoy lunch while sailing, experiencing the crossing of the Esna lock. A bus from Esna takes guests to visit the East Bank, home to the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. These sites are pillars of ancient Egyptian grandeur, with Karnak being the largest religious building ever constructed. The day concludes with sailing to Luxor, dinner on board, and an overnight stay on Luxor's West Bank.
On Saturday, the itinerary includes breakfast followed by a visit to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. These sites offer a glimpse into ancient Egypt's rich history, with the Valley of the Kings serving as a burial ground for pharaohs and powerful nobles. After immersing in the historical wonders, guests disembark in Luxor.
The journey circles back to Aswan by the following Wednesday, where guests arrive early in the morning and enjoy breakfast on board. The day is filled with sightseeing in Aswan, including another opportunity to visit the Philae Temple and the High Dam, before the trip concludes with disembarkation in Aswan.
